Donations are an important way to help keep momentum and quality of outcomes - particularly when dealing with complex, long drawn and extremely expensive situations such as the ones involved in resolving abduction of children across international borders. Often, the left-behind parent starts off awoving that he or she will put every cent of resource in recovering the child.   Soon that motivation starts to come under the strain of realities of financial constraints.  Many left-behind parents who want to fight for the rights of their child are also proud parents.  "Asking" for funds is always a challange and perceived as a further slight on their already battered emotional make-up.
